Rigging Week 2 - Controls

As I was ahead from the previous week, I found myself continuing on without the class, I began by creating controls to move the joints and IK handles, I used the step by step instructions created by Sean to continue without the class. The controls were easy and simple to setup, the difficult part was creating attributes in the controls to do things such as bend, curl, twist, raise and more. This was because they required to be keyed in at certain attributes, it was a tedious task but I found myself quickly getting the hang of it. By the end of the morning lecture I found myself with about 100% of the controls completed and waiting on the class to catch up, I used the rest of the afternoon to work on my personal project.

Camp Grounds - Concept Art

For the going live project, I came up with an idea for one of the pitches, I found myself drawing several pieces in order to sell the pitch at the presentations, in order to do this I created the above concept art, I made it highly detailed with photoshop and several filters and effects to ensure it was appealing as possible for the client to choose. The above pictures show the process in which I worked to design this concept art, by starting with outlines and then adding in colour, before moving onto the next piece, I used a grass brush in order to create the ground which looks really realistic and welcoming, the orange/yellow glow was strategically added in to create a warm glow to the drawing, to better sell the idea.
